Better Mornings
The quest to find a
solution for feeling lousy in the mornings, is one of the main

worse. Washing your pillow cases and bedding frequently in very hot
water is helpful. Pillow case covers and other non-allergenic
bedding can be useful, but often they aren’t as comfortable as the
pillow case you’ve worn to the perfect softness. Changing pillow
cases nightly is not a bad idea. An air purifier running near your
bed will also help because every time your covers are moved or
thrown about, the particles rise into the air and can be filtered by
the air purifier. The ones that are ground down in to your pillow
case and sheets need to be washed out with hot soapy water.
Morning malady can also be found in people who have sinus problems.
In fact, seasonal allergies can precipitate a sinus event. Allergies
cause swelling and inflammation in the tracts of the nose which can
lead to sinus problems. Mold can also be a contributor to bringing
on sinus attacks. A good HEPA air purifier will remove the tiny
particles of ragweed and grass, and mold spores, along with many
other allergens that attack us, even in the bedroom. These allergens
ride in on our clothes and shoes, as well as coming in through doors
and windows. So continuously running an air purifier, as well as
washing the bedding frequently, and taking other actions if
necessary to protect yourself from dust mites, is part of the
solution to early morning congestion and feeling poorly.
Overall, it’s very important to keep your bedroom, and those of your
children, super clean spaces used primarily for sleeping. The
windows if possible should be kept closed, and the door kept closed
as well. The air purifier will clean more powerfully in a confined
space. Running continuously, it will get the room cleaner and
cleaner, so that the bedroom becomes a sanctuary for sleep. Besides
the use of an air purifier, and keeping the bedding as clean as
possible, complete darkness has also been found to be critical in
promoting deep sleep. Showering before sleep so that allergens are
cleaned from your skin and hair, and sleeping in a clean, cool, dark
room will help you to wake feeling more healthy and refreshed and
less congested. Better mornings can be achieved with a few simple
steps and good HEPA air purifiers.
