The ultraviolet germicidal lamp in Allerair 5000 Exec UV air purifiers eliminates most airborne bacteria and some viruses making it particularly helpful in homes with young children or the elderly which are more susceptible to health problems. It is essentially the same model as the 5000 Exec which has cleaning capability of up to 1500 square feet, with the addition of a 10 watt UV lamp. In addition to affecting bacteria and viruses, the germicidal lamp eliminates the airborne mycotoxins which are the result of mold. (Mycotoxins are found on the surfaces of mold spores and actually remain toxic even after the spore dies). The Allerair germicidal lamp will last from one to two years. It is wise to buy an extra one when you purchase the system. The Allerair 5000 Exec UV moves easily on casters and is available in four colors (white, black, sandstone, and pewter).

The 5000 Exec air purifiers have a special blended Mac-BT carbon combined along with its high grade HEPA filter and pre filter easily eliminate the airborne particles, irritants, and allergens. The system is constructed of all steel with baked on textured black, gloss white, hammered pewter, or textured sandstone enamel finish with casters for easy moving. It also includes three filters; the Allerair HEPA filter, the pre filter, and 18 pounds of activated carbon. The carbon filter is recommended to be changed every 2.5 years. The pre filters, every 2 months, and the HEPA filter, every 5 years. These recommendations can change due to the environment that the system is purifying.
