Blueair Air Purifiers - Better than HEPA

A typical HEPA Filter is able to remove 99.7% of all particles in the air that are 0.03 microns or smaller. Although this is very efficient, the HEPASilent filter is able to remove particles even smaller than a regular HEPA filter. The HEPASilent filter has the ability to remove 99.7% of particles that are 0.01 microns or smaller. This measurement is achieved when the filter is still on its lowest speed. Due to the technology and charging of particles in the HEPASilent filter, these smaller particles are easily caught.

The two most popular types of air purifiers on the market today use either electrostatic technology or filter technology. Although these two types of purifiers are effective in cleaning air, there are drawbacks to their use. Electrostatic technology may be a quiet and peaceful way to clean the air but air purifiers that use this type of technology clean the air slowly. Purifiers with electrostatic technology are not able to pump as much airflow in the same period of time as other purifiers. These types of purifiers use collection plates to trap the particles in the air. These collections plates can be washed off to maintain effectiveness and cleanliness inside the purifier. However, each time these plates are clogged and washed off, they will not go back to the 100% efficiency they started with when the product was manufactured.

Purifiers using filter technology are the most common on the market. Although filters do a good job of cleaning air and can keep up with a Blueair purifier, they also do have drawbacks. Purifiers that use regular HEPA filters are louder when operating then a HEPASilent filter. They also use more energy to run than a Blue air purifier uses. Filters still seem to be the best way to clean air but the type of filter used in an air purifier can make all the difference. The HEPASilent filter even more effective than a system that uses a regular HEPA filter but is also quieter and more efficient.
