Blueair Direct Flow Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Filters
The health of the human body can be attributed to many essential functions and resources. One of the most important resources our bodies need to stay healthy and fit is water. Since a large amount of water is often consumed during the day to stay hydrated, it is also important that this water is fresh and free of impurities. Blueair Direct Flow water filters make it easy for every household to keep their water clean and contaminant-free. The water filters are not only safe, easy to use and efficient but the company has also designed them to be environmentally harmless. Only the best materials and the most innovative designs are used for their water filters, allowing the public access to the freshest and best tasting water possible.
What is exceptional About the Direct Flow?
These water filters use a ground breaking design to overcome the health problems that are normally associated with reverse osmosis water filters. The Direct Flow has its own internal pump that creates the RO water as it is needed eliminating the need for a holding tank, and constantly flushes the RO membrane. Most RO filters use line pressure to create pure water. Since line pressure is relatively low these systems make very little pure water at a time and must use a holding tank so that a sufficient amount is available when you turn on the tap. These holding tanks are breeding grounds for bacteria and have been singled out as a problem area by the Center for Disease Control.
How do I install the Direct Flow?
The system sits under your sink and has its own tap. So, you must (1) have space for the unit, (2) have a power plug that is on all the time (not switched for your garbage disposal) that will support a 350 watt device, and (3) a 20mm hole in your sink or your counter top for the Direct Flow tap. We can help you to determine if all of this can be done. Once you know that installation is possible you will need to coordinate the installation by a professional plumber.
How Does it Work?
When you push the button on the direct flow tap a yellow light comes on and water comes out the tap. When the light turns to blue you are then getting clean RO water. When you have the water you need you then push the button again and the water stops flowing. During this entire time the motor and pump are running.

Contaminants such as microorganisms, heavy metals, pesticides and toxins are commonly present in today's tap water. The water you are exposed to can put toxins such as algae, DDT, herbicides and insecticides in your body. Chlorine is also commonly found in the tap water we drink. This chemical is often added to water at treatment plants in order to clean it of other types of particles or bacteria. While the chemical does it's job of removing germs from the water, it can also leave an unpleasant taste or smell. Chlorine can easily be removed by water filters. Well water and municipal water systems may also contain sodium chlorine which can give water a rotten smell and a salty taste. Since water goes through a long process on its way into the home, it can typically pick up many types of bacteria and viruses along the way. These germs can be hazardous to your health and can sometimes cause minor illnesses such as viral diseases. Water filters are able to remove these bacteria before the water even reaches the faucet. Heavy metals, nitrate and fluoride are toxins that can be found in tap water and are dangerous when consumed in large quantities. These toxins can cause ailments such as low energy levels or abdominal pain. Hard water is also common in tap water. This is water that contains high levels of calcium and magnesium. Hard water can stain delicate dishes when used for cleaning and can also leave a bad aftertaste when consumed.
With all of these dangerous particles looming in our water, it's no wonder many households concerned with the health of their families have turned to Blueair water filters to clean their water. The units are able to handle all of these contaminants in large quantities and deliver only the freshest and purest water. Water is used for consumption as well as cooking. When fresher and cleaner water is used in food preparation, the natural flavors of the ingredients are brought out. The large amounts of quality water produced by the effective and stylish Direct Flow water filters by Blueair can make your family's meals taste better and fresher. Water is also the most important source used in the cleaning process. With cleaner water, dishes and countertops can also become cleaner. Using the pure water from Blueair Direct Flow water filters to clean the home makes the surfaces truly sanitary and sparkling.
While the water filters use the technologically advanced process of reverse osmosis, they don't need a storage tank for the waste water, like many other space-hogging models. The purification membrane used in the process is also constantly being flushed and cleaned during the reverse osmosis process, leaving little maintenance for the unit. The Blueair Direct Flow water filters can deliver 0.7 gallons of pure water per minute right through the kitchen faucet. The unit steadily monitors the quality of the water and controls the purification process.
A dual function pump design makes these water filters the best in their class. This pump is not only flowing the large volumes of water through the faucet but it is also flushing the filtering membrane in the unit in order to keep it properly functioning. By performing both of these tasks, the pump delivers pure water and keeps the model in prime condition to keep working properly for a longer period of time. The absence of a storage tank also contributes to the water filters' efficiency. The pure water is pumped quickly to the faucet and does not sit stagnant in a tank where bacteria can easily grow. The water filters also do not need a post carbon filter to be included in the purification process because no storage tank is involved.
Pure water is always at your fingertips because the units have a pressure of up to 145 psi and a purifying membrane filter that is seven times larger than those used in most reverse osmosis water filters. The fast movement of the Blueair water filters allows them to produce more pure water with less waste water. Most reverse osmosis water filters can use twenty gallons of water to produce only two gallons of pure water. The rest of this water is left in the storage tank as waste. The Direct Flow water filters, however, only produce about two quarts of waste water while processing two gallons of pure water.
Water filters are the best choice for those who are environmentally-conscious. Bottled water, which is proven not to be as pure as filtered water, uses an excessive amount of plastic for the bottles as well as energy and pollution for shipping. Water filters are an eco-friendly alternative because they use a small amount of energy, create a small amount of waste and don't require the manufacturing of large amounts of plastic. The Direct Flow water filters are able to handle and clean large quantities of hard water or water that contains iron. The membrane is strong enough to purify even the most contaminated water without needing to be cleaned or replaced.
Many people are choosing the convenience and effectiveness of Blueair water filters for their home. The purity and fresh taste of the water delivered from these models has heightened the quality of the water in many homes. With so many contaminants and toxins present in today's tap water, environmental and health conscious individuals are choosing these water filters for their pure water needs.
