The home air purifiers that Hunter has developed have unique ways of cleaning the air. There are many types of technology that are used by different companies and Hunter has taken these popular types of medium and technologies into account when designing their own products. Hunter is a company that uses knowledge, research and technology in order to assure the consumer that their product is the most advanced and efficient product on the market today. The Hunter Company has developed two different product lines. Each of these product lines uses different types of technology and design in order to assure the user clean indoor air. Both product lines are effective and efficient at removing contaminants from the air. With two different types of technologies and products, the Hunter Company gives the consumer many choices of home air purifiers and the consumer is able to choose which one will be right for his or her residence.

The HEPATech system is a line of air purifiers by Hunter that is offered for consumers in order to clean their indoor air. The air goes through a series of steps once it enters the system in order to eliminate the contaminants from the air. The air is first brought in through a HEPATech system by the Hunter fan. The fan draws the air in and is a lot quieter while drawing in the air than most air purifiers that are found on the market. The air is then taken through the pre filter. In order to make maintenance easy for the user, the pre filter is removable from the units and can be washed and placed back into the air purifiers whenever needed. The pre filter is the first filter inside the air purifier to catch any contaminants. It is able to remove any large particles that may be present in the air. Some of the particles that it captures can include lint, pet hair and large dust particles that have become airborne. The air drawn from the pre filter into the main and highly effective filter that is present in these air purifiers. This filter is a permanently charged HEPATech Electret Filter. This type of filter was tested using the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturer's AC-1 test. According to the results of this test, the filter is able to capture 99.7% of all particles that are present in the air and are 0.01 microns in size that pass through the air purifiers. This statistic may vary based on the user's specific environment and intended room of use. After the HEPATech Electret filter, the air is moved onto the Ionizer. The Ionizer is a medium that is available in some models by Hunter and may be sold separately in others. The Ionizer distributes negative ions throughout the room. These ions are able to enhance the cleaning process of the filters and freshen the air in the room. After the air has gone through the whole cleaning process, it is released into the room from the top of the system. Since the air is released through the top of the air purifier, it will not upset any settled particles.

The QuietFlo air purifiers are also as effective as the HEPATech air purifiers at removing contaminants from the air. The QuietFlo air purifiers also start the cleaning process by drawing in the air with a quiet fan. The air is drawn through a pre filter that contains advanced activated carbon. The pre filter is able to remove many odors from the air such as tobacco smoke and cooking odors. It is measured to reduce these odors from the air in the room by 30% more than other competitor's models. The pre filter is also responsible for removing large particles such as lint, dust and pet hair from the air that is drawn into the system. The main filter that the air is drawn through is the True HEPA filter. A True HEPA filter can filter 99.7% of all particles from the air that are 0.03 microns in size and larger. After being moved through the filtering system, the clean air is released from the system into the room.

Both of the air purifiers may contain different types of filtering systems but are very effective and efficient at removing particles and odors from the air.
