Friedrich C90B electronic air purifiers use the same technology generally used in whole-house and commercial installations. This Friedrich is ideal for allergy sufferers because it is very effective in removing pollen, dust, mold spores, and other particulates from the airflow that trigger allergy symptoms. While these filterless units do support a thin carbon mat to absorb odors, it is not recommended for MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) or asthma sufferers because odor and chemical adsorption is not the specialty of the Friedrich. It's great for dust, mold, and pollen though!

These electronic units work with two sets of plates. One set of plates charges the airflow and another collects any particles that were charged by the first set. This makes it a true electrostatic system. Since there is relatively little constriction of the airflow, the units tend to be quiet, producing only a quality white noise due to the operation of the fan.

Friedrich filterless systems require washing of the plates, which can be done in a dishwasher. The frequency depends on the amount of dust and particulate in your house. Electrostatic technology is a process that is found to be very effective at removing particles and contaminants from indoor air. There are a few different types of technologies and filters that are used in air purifiers but electrostatic technology is known to be one of the best and most active types of technology in cleaning indoor air. One of the most effectively proven electrostatic air purifiers on the market is the Friedrich C90B. The C90B is a model of air purifier that is low maintenance and very helpful at removing harmful contaminants from indoor air.

The Friedrich C90B uses no filters in the process of cleaning indoor air. The system is able to clean the air by using electrostatic technology completely. The process of electrostatic technology is set up for optimal performance inside the Friedrich, making the system very useful and effective at removing particles from the air. Since the opposite polarity of charges are attracted to one another, this causes the particles with their own charge to be attracted to the collection plates with the opposite charge. The particles that are still present in the air are pulled out of the air by the opposite charge and stuck to the collection plates. This process of using the opposite charges to attract the particles can be compared to the way that magnets attract each other if they have opposite charges. The air that has been cleaned of harmful particles by the collection plates is then pushed by the fan to pick up the speed of the airflow. The air is pushed by the fan through an activated carbon mat. The activated carbon inside the C90B is a media that is able to remove all odors from the air. Activated carbon is proven to be effective and is used in many other models of air purifiers to remove odors and gases from indoor air. After the activated carbon mat has absorbed the odors and the air is completely free of particles and odors, it is released into the air. The clean air is released into the room from a large grill in the front of the machine.

This is my second purchase of a Friedrich C90B and they are just wonderful. I use to get bad sinus infections and all kinds of problems. Since I have been using the C90-A, I have not had any infections. It's in my bedroom and the difference between that room and the rest of the house is amazing! It's so clean and fresh in there.
Now my dog has skin allergies so I am buying one for him!

"I'm a believer" - my wife is remodeling the house again, maybe "still" is more accurate, and the demolition of our slate entryway combined with the drywall sanding put dust everywhere and started to trigger my asthma.  After I got though a course of prednisolone and antibiotics I felt better for a while.  Then it started up again.  I just could not get better!  We got a several air purifiers; a C90B which went in downstairs between the living and dining room and an Austin Air Purifier HealthMate Jr. + for my TV room (BTW We already had a HealthMate in the bedroom).  I started to see improvement after two days. To be frank I am amazed I did not expect the addition of a couple of air purifiers to have such an impact on my health.  Bonnie is a genius.  Please tell her I said so.

The Friedrich C90B air purifiers that you sold me work great!  They significantly reduce the dust in my bird room and I have been sneeze-free for several days.  I keep Cockatoos.  They are amazingly dusty.  When they shake you can literally see the fine dust going airborne around the.  My Doctor gave me the ultimatum to get rid of them but they are my babies and I just couldn't.  Anyway, I had no idea that air purifiers could actually address my problem until I followed a link to your site from a bird cage site and called.  I was shocked...someone answered the phone and I did not have to go though four levels of navigation menus....you just answered and helped me.  I will tell all my friends about the air purifiers and where I got them.
