Honeywell Enviracaire Air Purifiers
The Honeywell Enviracaire is a well known brand of air purifier. ClearFlite is pleased to offer two models of the Enviracaire, and one model of the less expensive Honeywell QuietCare. These air purifiers are suitable for small to medium-sized bedrooms or home offices. The unusual feature of the Enviracaire line is that it has a HEPA filter that can be vacuumed. Honeywell calls this a permanent lifetime HEPA filter and recommends that it be vacuumed twice a year. All of the other brands of air purifiers sold by ClearFlite contain HEPA filters that must be replaced. We believe the Enviracaire is appropriate for a person who simply wants to have cleaner air for overall health, or is on a tight budget. However, for those with more serious asthma and allergy problems, or chemical sensitivity, we recommend a more substantive HEPA air purifier with a HEPA filter that can be removed and quickly disposed of, as well as a lot of activated carbon.
The Honeywell Enviracaire models and the QuietCare are very suitable for supplementing other HEPA air purifiers in the home or office. If you have the time and willingness to vacuum the HEPA filter as needed (a minimum of two times a year) and want a quiet, inexpensive air purifier that is well-made, and that can remove pollen, dander, dust, and mold spores as small as 0.3 microns, as well as some odors with its minimal carbon pre-filter, these Honeywell air purifiers are a good value.

Who needs a Honeywell Air Purifier:
The two Enviracaire models and the QuietCare are in ClearFlite's "light category" of home air purifiers, but are good for persons with mild allergies or as supplemental units to heavier duty air purifiers, or those on a tight budget.
How the Honeywell Air Purifiers Work:
Honeywell's patented design draws air in from all around the circular air Enviracaire purifier. The air passes through a carbon pre-filter and then through the HEPA filter. The carbon pre-filter which absorbs chemicals and filters, is not washable and should be changed every few months.
Our rating:
The Honeywell Enviracaires and the smaller QuietCare are made by a fine company and have a 5 year warranty. If the owner is willing to vacuum the HEPA filter, and does not have lots of pets, smoke, a high amount of mold, or chemical sensitivity, these models will keep the air clean and are very inexpensive.
