IQAir Air Purifiers Low Noise - High Performance
Many users of IQAir air purifiers are concerned with the loud noise of the fan when the purifier is turned on. IQAir air purifiers not only addresses this issue by offering six different settings for the fans but also attends to this issue by the location of the fan. The centrifugal fan is high-powered and can therefore activate some sound if turned onto the highest performance level. The IQAir Air Purifiers fan was designed to sit in the complete center of the unit. All the filters contained in the IQAir air purifiers, which has quite a lot of padding on all sides, surround it. This padding that the IQAir filters provide for the fan causes the fan's motor to be muffled. Therefore, the fan's motor noise is absorbed into the padding and hardly audible on the outside of the unit.
All HealthPro series air purifiers start their cleaning by sucking the air first through a Pre-max Pre-filter. Most manufacturers have some sort of pre-filter before the air goes into the HEPA filter but the Pre-max pre-filter is different from the pre-filters used by other manufacturers. The pre-filter used in IQAir air purifiers is larger than other companies' pre-filters and is also more efficient. It is able to remove 90% of all dust mass. By removing such an abundant amount of the larger particles, the pre-filter is helping the other filters in the machine. With most of the large particles already filtered by the pre-filter, the other filters, including the HEPA filter will have a longer life because they won't have as many particles to catch and won't get dirty so quickly. The filters having longer lives make it easier on the customer because they won't have to change the filter as frequently in the air purifiers.
After the air has passed through the Pre-max pre-filter, it is taken through the fan. The firm uses the most powerful fan in its class. The fan is so powerful; it allows the unit to clean a 1,000 square foot area. The fan allows for sufficient airflow and is quiet but still efficient.
The next filter the air passes through is exclusive to IQAir air purifiers. This filter is called the V5 Cell and it cannot be found in any other company's air purifiers. The V5 Cell is a filter dedicated to absorbing gas and odors from the air it receives. The V5 Cell is a cutting-edge filter and the most advanced gas and odor filter on the market. Most ordinary air purifiers come equipped with simple carbon activated pads to deal with gas and odors. In an IQAir purifier, these gases and odors are dealt with on a higher and more advanced level by passing through the V5 Cell.
The V5 Cell has a two-step process of granular filtration. The filter removes gases and odors from the air by absorbing it into the carbon pads. This process of soaking in the gases and odors is called adsorption. The V5 Cell also includes activated aluminum. This portion of the filter aids in getting rid of odors and gases by binding the molecules. Once the molecules are bound, the activated aluminum is able to destroy them. This part of the filter completely breaks down all gases and odors it comes into contact with and eliminates them. The process of breaking down and destroying these molecules is performed chemically and is called the oxidation process. The V5 Cell filter is shaped in a V-like manner. The different and unique shape of this filter helps to trap all air and be sure that all air entering the unit will pass through the filter. The shape of the filter also guarantees that the air will pass through the filter at least one time and gives the filter an airflow advantage. The odors and gases that the V5 Cell can extinguish include tobacco smoke, cooking odors or chemical odors. This filter leaves the air fresh and odor and gas free.
With efficiency in mind, IQAir created their air purifiers with the best filters and technology they could see fit. The goal of IQAir Air Purifiers was to conform a commercially used air purifier into something useful for the everyday person in their home. The company did so by using the same core filter that is in all air purifiers used in hospitals and manufacturing companies. The Cleanroom-Grade HyperHEPA filter is found in all IQAir HealthPro series purifiers and is much more powerful than a regular HEPA filter for many reasons. This type of filter is proven to absorb 99.7% of all toxins in the air. It can catch all particles present that are 0.03 microns or larger. The filter is enclosed in a three dimensional seal, called a 3-D Ultra Seal. This seal makes certain that all air that enters the unit will go through the filter before being diffused into outtake diffuser. It has been proven that with air leakage in a unit, the efficiency and ability of the unit to clean can drop to as low as 50%. With no air leakage in the airpurifiers, the purifier is able to clean all air of toxins so the only air exiting the unit is clean air.
