Tobacco smoke can be one of the most
dangerous airborne chemicals in a home or office. Many studies are now proving
that secondhand smoke is even more serious of an issue than was anticipated and

media. This gas phase media specializes in removing even the smallest particles
of chemicals from the air such as vinyl chloride, ethanol, carbon disulfide and
acetone. Since there are so many different types of chemicals in cigarette smoke
which can become airborne and get trapped indoors, this air purifier is great for
those homes with tobacco users. The complete system contains a total of 12
pounds of this gas phase media, making it extremely efficient at removing 97% of
all particles that are 0.3 microns in size and smaller. This includes many
chemicals or gases that are released from tobacco smoke and can cause hazards to
the health of residents.
After purchasing the GC MultiGas air purifier, the Twiliger family placed it in the family
room by the patio door where they usually go outside to smoke. Any smoke that
lingered inside from the patio was immediately removed by the air purifier. The
air inside the home before the air purifier was present seemed to have a thick
feeling and the family could still smell smoke even though they were careful to
smoke outside. The children often complained of the smell and the Twiligers knew
they were harming their children with even the small amount of smoke that was
